Terms of Service · September 9, 2026

Clear terms before payment and access.

These terms explain the service boundaries, customer responsibilities, payment rules, refunds, cancellation, and support commitments for CertifyPreflight.

Service role

CertifyPreflight organizes and explains product evidence for review. It is not a law firm, customs broker, testing laboratory, CPSC or CBP service, and it does not replace the importer’s authorized professionals.

No guaranteed outcome

No feature, score, checklist, export, access approval, or payment guarantees CPSC acceptance, customs release, legal compliance, or a particular regulatory result. The importer and its authorized broker or filer remain responsible for final review and filing decisions.

Applications and access

A verified sign-in does not itself permit real-document use. An automated completeness screen is only an intake decision. CertifyPreflight may pause, limit, decline, or end access to protect customers, service capacity, or security.

Customer responsibilities

Provide accurate information, use the service only for work you are authorized to perform, protect your account, review outputs before relying on them, and do not upload unlawful material, credentials, card data, malware, or information you lack permission to share.

AI Guide boundaries

The optional CertifyPreflight AI Guide provides general preparation assistance and may make mistakes. Its responses are not legal advice, professional certification, a compliance determination, or a filing decision. Customers must review AI-assisted guidance and confirm consequential decisions with an authorized broker, filer, laboratory, counsel, or CPSC. The AI Guide cannot submit information to CPSC or CBP.

AI Guide allowance and extensions

Guided Pilot includes 50 AI Guide questions each calendar month during active access, and Ongoing Workspace includes 250 each calendar month. Organization Access uses the allowance stated in its written agreement. Guided Pilot and Ongoing Workspace customers may buy a 100-question extension for $9. Extension questions are used only after the included allowance is exhausted and remain available while the customer retains an eligible CertifyPreflight account. A separate hourly security limit protects the service from automated misuse and does not reduce the purchased allowance. AI usage extensions are nonrefundable after any extension question is used; verified duplicate, erroneous, or unauthorized charges will be refunded.

Emergency Shipment Review scope and timing

The $499 Emergency Shipment Review covers one held or at-risk commercial shipment and one contracted product. It includes priority incident triage, automated document extraction where supported, a source-linked missing or conflicting information list, a response checklist, and a structured action package for the customer and its authorized broker or filer. Priority timing begins only after Stripe confirms payment and the required files are available in the workspace. CertifyPreflight targets first written findings by the end of the same business day for a complete file set received by 12:00 p.m. Arizona time, or by the end of the next business day when received later. This is a service target, not a guarantee of completion, carrier acceptance, customs release, or regulatory outcome.

Emergency Shipment Review refunds

A full refund is available before substantive review begins. If review has begun but the first written missing-item plan, readiness findings, structured handoff, or equivalent deliverable has not been provided, CertifyPreflight may refund 50%. The fee is nonrefundable after one of those deliverables is provided. If CertifyPreflight cannot provide the purchased service, it will issue a full refund. Verified duplicate, erroneous, or unauthorized charges will be refunded.

Guided Pilot refunds

The $349 Guided Pilot covers one contracted product. A full refund is available before substantive review begins. If review has begun but the first written missing-item plan, walkthrough, structured handoff, or equivalent deliverable has not been provided, CertifyPreflight may refund 50%. The fee is nonrefundable after one of those deliverables is provided. If CertifyPreflight cannot provide the purchased service, it will issue a full refund. Verified duplicate, erroneous, or unauthorized charges will be refunded.

Ongoing Workspace renewal and cancellation

Ongoing Workspace renews automatically at $249 each month until canceled. Customers may cancel through Manage Subscription and Stripe’s secure customer portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, access remains available through that period, and no further subscription charge is made after the effective cancellation date.

Ongoing Workspace refunds and prorations

Monthly charges are generally nonrefundable, with no prorated refund or credit for an unused portion of a billing period. A customer may request a renewal refund within five calendar days after the charge if no new document was uploaded, no export was generated, and no review or support work was requested after renewal. An approved renewal refund ends paid access when issued. If CertifyPreflight ends service for its own operational reasons and not because of customer conduct, it will refund the unused portion of the paid period.

Failed and recovered payments

CertifyPreflight may pause paid workspace access after Stripe reports a required payment as failed or unpaid. Eligible access is restored after Stripe confirms successful recovery. No separate reactivation fee is charged.

Organization Access

Organization Access is governed by the customer’s written service agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these general payment or cancellation terms, the written service agreement controls.

Price changes

The price and billing frequency are shown before payment. Existing Ongoing Workspace customers will receive at least 30 days’ notice before a change to the standard monthly price applies to a future renewal.

Customer support commitment

Support requests enter the private queue using the customer’s verified account. CertifyPreflight targets an initial human response within two business days and normally communicates refund decisions within five business days after receiving sufficient information. Billing, access, suspected unauthorized-payment, security, and privacy requests receive priority. These are service targets, not guaranteed resolution times.

Service limitations

The product may change and may experience interruptions. Priority service accelerates preparation work but does not provide emergency legal, customs, laboratory, or regulatory advice. Customers remain responsible for carrier and filing deadlines and should contact their authorized broker, filer, laboratory, or counsel for time-sensitive professional decisions.

By submitting an application or using the service, you confirm that you understand these boundaries. Refund, billing, account, or policy questions can be submitted through Support.
